Watford have confirmed the signing of defender Craig Dawson from West Bromwich Albion for a reported fee of around £5million.

The 29-year-old has signed a four-year deal with the club, which will keep him in Hertfordshire until 2023.

The centre-back made more than 200 appearances for the Baggies, scoring 16 goals. He has also represented England U-21s and Great Britain at the 2012 Olympic Games.

During his time at the Hawthornes he played alongside current Watford goalkeeper Ben Foster. The two will link up again this season, following the defender's move to Vicarage Road.
