Watford have strengthened their development options by signing five players for their Under-23 squad.

Striker Sam Dalby, winger Joseph Hungbo, midfielder Henry Wise and full-backs Jamal Balogun and Cameron Green have all joined the Hornets’ development squad ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.

Dalby has moved from Leeds United for what the Championship club's website has stated is an undisclosed fee and signed a two-year deal at Vicarage Road with the option of a further 12 months.

Previously at Leyton Orient where me made a total of 18 appearances in their ill-fated 2016/17 League Two campaign, Dalby made the switch to Elland Road in January 2018 and spent time on loan with Morecambe last season, making two substitute appearances for the League Two club.

Hungbo, also 19, was realeased by Crystal Palace at the end of last season, but had previously been highly regarded at Selhurst Park and signed his first professional contract with the Eagles last summer.

Wise, the son of former England international Dennis, left Derby County in March by what the Rams described as "mutual agreement", having mainly featured for the Under-18s during his time at Pride Park.

Hungbo and Wise have both signed one-year deals, as have fellow 19-year-old Balogun and Green, 20; the two defenders having moved from Reading.

Watford have also confirmed that striker Michael Folivi has signed a new deal that keeps him contracted to the club until 2020, with the option for a further 12 months.

Folivi completed a return to AFC Wimbledon on a season-long loan earlier this week.
