Leganes are still confident of signing Marc Navarro on loan from Watford despite a delay in proceedings.

The Watford Observer has been told that the Spanish club still expect the deal to go through, but that a hold up from the Hornets is currently slowing things down.

While the La Liga side are believed to not be worried about the loan move collapsing, they have also claimed to be unsure about what the cause of the set back is.

The full-back is currently in Austria with Watford for pre-season, but is thought to have already agreed to the terms of the move with Leganes, who are now waiting for the move to be given the go-ahead by the Hornets.

The Madrid club have been admirers of Navarro for a while and almost signed him during the January transfer window and are believed to have asked for a buying option to be added into the deal.

After joining from Espanyol last summer, the 24-year-old was mainly limited to performances in the Carabao cup and played just 84 minutes worth of football in the Premier League altogether, as well as a ten minute cameo in the FA Cup third round game at Woking.
