It's now three straight defeats at the start of the season and seven in succession in all competitions dating back to the last campaign after Watford were beaten 3-1 by West Ham United.
The Hornets got off to a dreadful start when Abdoulaye Doucoure conceded a penalty with less than three minutes on the clock, but they recovered from falling behind to Mark Noble's spot-kick and levelled through Andre Gray.
The hosts continued to offer promise going forward but chances came and went, most notably when Will Hughes somehow missed from a yard in the second half.
Aided considerably by some bad defending, West Ham made their opponents pay as Sebastien Haller netted a brace to take the points back to east London.
Here are a selection of images from the game.
