Stefano Okaka could be set for another exit from Watford, with head coach Javi Gracia admitting he was unsure what the future held for the Italian striker.

The 30-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Udinese and has not been included in any of the four teams Gracia has used so far this season.

The Premier League transfer window closed at the start of the month, but teams from elsewhere have until Monday, September 2 to complete any new deals.

The head coach said he could not be sure that the striker would be with the club for the remainder of the campaign.

“In this moment I don’t know what’s going to happen with Okaka,” said Gracia.

“I know he came from after being on loan and now I don’t know what’s going to happen with him in the next days.

“He’s a player who now has a little problem and is training with the team.

“I prefer to speak more about the players I know and I’m sure are going to be with me the rest of the season.”

The Italian international joined Watford from Anderlecht in 2016 and has scored five goals from 38 appearances in all competitions.
He was involved in the Hornets’ pre-season but reports recently have linked him with a move away again.

Last season, Okaka scored six goals from 16 games in Serie A with Udinese, where he featured alongside fellow Watford loan players Ben Wilmot and Marvin Zeegelaar.
