Snooker’s best players will once again be racing against the clock at the Watford Colosseum in February for the unique and dramatic Shoot Out.

It’s non-stop action over four days at the Rickmansworth Road venue, with all matches lasting a maximum of ten minutes as 128 players are whittled down to one, in a frenzy of fast potting and jangling nerves.

Last season, Thailand’s Thepchaiya Un-Nooh proved himself the king of speed snooker by winning the tournament for the first time. The fastest player on the sport’s global tour, he blew away the field in Watford with an amazing display of quickfire potting.

Un-Nooh even made a break of 139, the highest in the nine-year history of the Shoot Out, in the semi-finals before beating Michael Holt in the final.

The unique format includes a shot clock of 15 seconds for the first five minutes of each match, and 10 seconds for the last five. Last season, top stars in the field included Shaun Murphy, Stuart Bingham, Barry Hawkins, Ali Carter, Kyren Wilson, Jimmy White and leading female players Reanne Evans and Emma Parker.

The 2020 event runs from February 20 to 23, with the field of players to be announced in due course.
