Watford's away game at Wolverhampton Wanderers this weekend will be refereed by Paul Tierney, it has been announced.
The official took charge of five Hornets' matches last season, including the away trip to Manchester City, where a controversial goal was awarded to Raheem Sterling, despite him being in an offside position.
Tierney also refereed the 3-1 away win at Burnley, the 2-1 home defeat to Manchester City, the 2-1 away win at Crystal Palace and the 3-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea.
This season Tierney has been involved in some big decisions, including in Saturday's game between Leicester and Tottenham when two goals were chalked off by VAR for offside.
Nevertheless, his stats suggest he is a more lenient referee than most, as he has issued just one red card since the 2016/17 season, when he sent off Miguel Britos in Watford's 2-0 win over West Bromwich Albion.
Accompanying Tierney will be assistants Harry Lennard and Eddie Smart, while Matthew Donohue will be fourth official and Kevin Friend will be VAR.
