Javi Gracia has rejected the opportunity to manage Espanyol, as the former Watford coach has his heart set on another job in England, according to reports in Spain.

Gracia was sacked by the Hornets just four games into this Premier League season, after a winless start, which has since continued under new boss Quique Sanchez Flores.

According to Spanish publication Grada 3, Gracia was the number one choice to replace David Gallego but he rejected the opportunity to meet with representatives of Espanyol and is instead focused on finding another job in the Premier League.

Despite a poor start to this season, Gracia still has his admirers in England after guiding Watford to the FA Cup final and their highest ever Premier League finish in the last campaign.

He is currently 40/1 to become the next Everton manager, with Marco Silva currently favourite with the bookies to be the next Premier League manager to be sacked.
