Chris Kavanagh has been named as referee for Watford's away match against Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.

Kavanagh took charge of the Hornets' home game against West Ham earlier this campaign and was referee for the same fixture last season when he sent off Jose Holebas, which threatened the Greek defender's place in the FA Cup final squad.

The full-back was dismissed after the referee ruled he had pulled back Michail Antonio when the Hammers forward was through on goal early in the second half, but Watford successfully appealed the red card and Holebas did play against Manchester City at Wembley.

That was the only Watford match the official oversaw last season, however the campaign before he was referee for three of the Hornets' games, including a 3-0 win away at Newcastle United, a 2-1 home win over Leicester and a goalless home draw with Crystal Palace.

Kavanagh will be assisted by Daniel Cook and Sian Massey-Ellis, while Gavin Ward will be the video assistant referee.
