Watford Ladies' head coach Clinton Lancaster said every single one of his players were "outstanding" in their 7-0 win over Keynsham Town on Women's Football Weekend.

First half strikes from Adekite Fatuga-Dada and Ryah Vyse had the Golden Girls 2-0 up before Andrea Carid, Katie O'Leary, Helen Ward and Ocean Rolandsen added five more after the restart.

The win keeps the Golden Girls top of the Southern Premier Division and after the match Lancaster told the Watford website he was really impressed with his side's passion and desire.

“Ever single player was outstanding,” he said

“The players who came on had a massive impact, in particular Andrea. She is an outstanding player. The passion and desire from the players to go and get more was just what we wanted.”

Lancaster singled out Carid for further praise before again turning his focus on the whole team for their efforts, particularly in the second half.

“She was fantastic when she came on and proved a real point," he said of Carid.

"It's credit to the players that we have five outstanding forwards. We had Anaisa Harney on the bench and she has been scoring lots of goals for the 23s and working so hard in training. We've got the rotation there and that's exactly what we want.

“We were a bit disappointed to only be two up as we were playing really well. We could see they were tiring and I said to the girls at half-time there were more goals in this. They kept pushing and pushing and we some outstanding goals. They didn't want to stop.”
