Watford will face Manchester United in the FA Cup fourth round at Vicarage Road if the Hornets get past Tranmere Rovers in their rearranged replay.
Nigel Pearson’s side were due to take on the League One club at Prenton Park last night for a second time after the original tie ended 3-3, but the game was called off yesterday lunchtime following heavy rain. It will now take place on Thursday, January 23 with a 7.45pm kick-off.
If the Hornets successfully come through the replay, they will entertain Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men three days later on Sunday, January 26 in a 3pm kick-off.
A Juan Mata goal was enough for United to edge out Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-0 in their third round replay at Old Trafford tonight.
Watford announced earlier today that tickets for the potential fourth round tie will go on sale from tomorrow morning, but sales will be refunded if they do not beat Tranmere.
Full sales information for the possible fixture has now been published by the club on their website, with adult tickets priced at £25 for season ticket holders and £30 for non-season ticket holders.
