Watford are one of five English clubs talking to Hertha Berlin striker Davie Selke, according to reports.

German publication Bild have named the Hornets as one of five clubs looking at the striker, along with Aston Villa, Brighton, Newcastle and Bournemouth.

With the January transfer window due to close at 11pm tomorrow, any deal would need to be thrashed out quickly, but it is thought he is keen on a move away from Hertha.

Bild state that the striker has handed in a transfer request with Krzysztof Piatek on the verge of joining the Berlin club.

Selke has just one goal from 21 appearances this season.
