Watford have submitted a planning application to Watford Borough Council to add 537 seats at Vicarage Road.
The additional seating would be situated in the corner between the Sir Elton John Stand and the Rookery End, and would include an extra supporter's bar to alleviate footfall on the V-Bar in the Rookery.
The seating would include and consolidate the existing temporary seating provision in the corner and would boost the capacity nearer to the 23,000 mark.
Plans for the possible new seating can be seen on the Watford Borough Council website.
Both neighbour and standard consultations will run between now and Monday, March 9, after which a planning committee will discuss the application further.
