Pontus Dahlberg’s loan side FC Emmen have had their away fixture at PSV Eindhoven postponed due to coronavirus.
The Watford goalkeeper joined the Dutch Eredivisie side on loan in January but is yet to feature for the side sitting 12th in Holland’s top flight.
All other major events in the Noord-Brabant region, where Eindhoven is situated, have also been cancelled.
Dahlberg’s progress in the Netherlands, he says, has been hampered by artificial pitches causing problems for his back.
The Swedish international explained in an interview with Fotbollskanlen: “Both me and Watford agreed that I should come out and play some matches.
“It’s been good, I think. It has been a bit of a settling period because it is artificial grass and that is a different way of playing. The club wanted me to get used to it and now it feels like I have, pretty well. At the same time, I have had some minor problems in my back due to the artificial grass and I was unable to walk fully. It has eased now, so it feels good.”
