Watford's FA Cup quarter-final against Crystal Palace was finely poised at 1-1 and the prospect of extra-time was starting to grow when Javi Gracia took off Will Hughes and put on Andre Gray. It was a move that reaped almost instant rewards and sent the Hornets to Wembley.

Having beaten Woking, Newcastle United and Queens Park Rangers on the road, Saturday, March 16, 2019 saw the next episode of Watford's FA Cup story played out within a superb atmosphere at Vicarage Road.

All appeared to be going to plan for the hosts when Etienne Capoue put them in front in the 29th minute, only for Micky Batshuayi to level just past the hour-mark to give the Eagles renewed hope of reaching the last four.

Within two minutes of entering the fray though, Gray was to make a run into the box where he was picked out by a fine ball over the top from Roberto Pereyra and the substitute took his chance, guiding the ball beyond Vicente Guaita to move the Hornets within one more game of reaching only the second FA Cup final in the club's history.
