Watford's Andre Gray could be set for a return to the Premier League, with West Bromwich Albion interested in a loan for the striker.
The Baggies were promoted to the top flight last season and are now looking at ways to bolster their squad ahead of the upcoming campaign.
While it is believed Huddersfield's Karlan Grant is their priority, The Watford Observer has been told that contact has also been made with the Hornets over a potential move for Gray.
Watford could be willing to allow the player to leave on a loan, but a permanent deal is not thought to be likely at this stage.
The 29-year-old scored just twice in 27 appearances last season after scoring nine in all competitions the season before.
