Watford striker Stipe Perica does not need surgery on his arm and will be available again following a short period of rehabilitation.

The forward was forced off the field during the 1-1 draw with Bournemouth in which he opened the scoring before the Hornets conceded a late equaliser.

A scan on the arm has revealed that the damage was not severe enough to require an operation and the Croatian striker will be back again after the international break.

Watford Observer:

“It’s good news. He doesn’t need to have surgery now in this moment,” said head coach Vladimir Ivic. “He will take part in rehabilitation in the next 10 days, or two weeks maximum. After that I believe after the international break he will be available to be with us. It’s good.”

Andre Gray and Will Hughes are expected to play some part in this weekend’s game at Barnsley, while striker Troy Deeney could be available before the November international fixtures.

Christian Kabasele is also available after taking a knock to the face during the 1-1 draw with Wycombe Wanderers.

“If we have time to give [Gray and Hughes], we will give it to them for sure,” said Ivic. “We know that we need to treat them now in this moment in a special way because all of us know and they know that they’re not ready to play 90 minutes.

“Maybe [Troy] can be available for the next games to start to be part of the squad, and maybe to use him for some part of the games, but we will see now how he’ll be in the next days of rehabilitation. He works with the team, we know that he has a problem. We tried to solve this problem, and I believe that we are close to fixing what he has."
