Watford changed shape and strategy for their game with Bristol City, but were unable to find a way through the Robins' defence.

Here's how we rated their individual performances following the goalless draw.

Ben Foster - 6

Had little to do, but made saves when required. Had a bit of a flap at the end of the match, but got away with it.

Jeremy Ngakia - 6.5

A solid return to the side after a period out. Looked solid defensively.

Christian Kabasele - 6.5

Had a tough opponent to marshall in Antoine Semenyo, but looked comfortable for the most part.

Craig Cathcart - 6

Missed a big chance in the first-half, but did well at the back.

Kiko Femenia - 6.5

Deployed out of position, but was still effective. The new formation prevented him from attacking as much however.

James Garner - 6

Some tidy passing from the midfielder, but needed to be more direct at times.

Domingos Quina - 5.5

Arguably his best performance this season, but still conceded possession far too many times.

Nathaniel Chalobah - 5

Another chance to perform that he didn't take. His defending and pressing wasn't bad, but on the ball, he offers little at the moment.

Ismaila Sarr - 5

Struggled to get into the game and looked lethargic and unwilling to run at players at times. Isn't producing while many thought he'd be excelling.

Joao Pedro - 4.5

A fairly anonymous display. There were some pretty flicks and moments of skill, but ultimately nothing of substance, summed up by a poor pass to Deeney in the closing stages that could have won the game.

Andre Gray - 4

A really poor performance from Gray, and he'll know it as well. Just wasn't happening for him.

SUBSTITUTES

Troy Deeney - 6

Imposed himself on Bristol and was maybe unlucky not to win a penalty late on.

William Troost-Ekong - N/A

Arrived too late to make an impact.

Stipe Perica - N/A

Arrived too late to make an impact.
