Watford put in a solid performance, but lacked cutting edge as they were beaten 1-0 by Manchester United in the FA Cup third round.
Here's how we rated their individual performances.
Daniel Bachmann - 7
Made some important stops and not much he could have done about the goal.
Marc Navarro - 6
Struggled a bit to deal with Dan James.
Francisco Sierralta - 7
Very solid in the centre, looks a good acquisition.
William Troost-Ekong - 6
A bit clumsy at times, but did well on his first game back for a while.
Adam Masina - 6
A positive return to the starting lineup
Nathaniel Chalobah - 5
Was handed the captain's armband, but failed to produce a leader's performance.
Will Hughes - 6
Good to see him back, but still a little rusty. Understandably.
Ismaila Sarr - 7
Watford's most positive player but still lacked a decent final ball. Perhaps substituted too early.
Philip Zinckernagel - 6.5
A positive start to life with Watford. Looks to have a touch of quality that they have been missing until now.
Andre Gray - 5.5
Flashes of improvement, but still far from his best.
Joao Pedro - 6
Not a bad showing from the Brazilian, good to see him back.
SUBS
Jeremy Ngakia - 5
Looked a little flustered after coming on.
Ken Sema - 6
Had moments of creativity, but was unable to force the breakthrough.
Joseph Hungbo - N/A
Ben Wilmot - N/A
