Xisco Munoz insists Watford have not lost faith in their attacking style after defeat to Luton Town at the weekend.

The Hornets are looking for a reaction to that loss when they face Norwich City tonight, as they continue their promotion push.

The head coach told the club website that the last few months have shown their attacking brand of football does produce results and that Saturday's defeat was likely just a blip.

“We believe in our work, in our system and our style,” said Munoz.

“This is not just my opinion: this is the opinion of the results and the work in the last four months. We are working very hard and building all the time and we need different styles for different situations, like the pitch. But we've only had four months to play big-level football and sometimes you have smiles and sometimes you have we cry. But this is the Championship. It is one of the best Championships in the world. All the games are difficult to get three points.

“We know it wasn't our best game. This is true, this is the reality. We have another opportunity in the next game to show it was one small mistake and we need to keep going with the same ambition and the same process we used to arrive in this situation.”

Munoz's first game in charge of the Hornets was in the 1-0 home win over the now-promoted Canaries, who are looking to seal the Championship title.

He fondly remembers the feeling of team spirit he felt that day.

“It was my first game and we saw from the pictures and the video from that game that we had a team spirit and a connection,” he said. “We had a passion for the objective. We have had difficult situations and difficult moments and we always come back with good moments. This is the Championship. I just want us to enjoy this situation, these moments and the process. It's nice we have this amazing challenge and it is amazing when you arrive [at the goal].”
