Xisco Munoz has praised his side's defensive displays after equalling the Championship record of conceding only 30 goals in a season.
The Hornets kept another clean sheet in their 2-0 win over Swansea, meaning they shut teams out on 23 occasions throughout the league campaign.
While also acknowledging their power going forward, Munoz said it was important for his players to also shut out teams in their successful quest for Premier League promotion.
"We spoke in the first days about the balance the team need," said Munoz. "I know we have very good players in attack, and we needed to give this little balance in defence.
"The most important was the team played narrow, the team played everyone with the same things, and everyone with the same attitude and I think that was the secret for us to achieve the balance we have now.
"This is very important for us to keep going with the same attitude and continue with the same clean sheets because it's important in football to have a good team in defence."
