Watford have announced the signing of 18-year-old striker Kwadwo Baah from Rochdale.

The youngster scored three goals and provided two assists from 29 appearances in League One last season, of which he started 13, and made his England Under 18s debut at the end of March.

He has signed a five year contract at Vicarage Road and will join up with the team in pre-season.

Baah was named EFL Young Player of the Month for January after scoring an impressive brace against Charlton Athletic, ahead of a proposed move to Manchester City, which subsequently collapsed.

Instead he passed a medical with the Hornets two weeks ago but his move to the club has only now been announced.

He will officially become a Watford player at the beginning of July after his deal with Rochdale expires.

It is understood that Dale will receive a small compensation package of around £100,000 while sell-on percentages have also been agreed.
