Watford's Ben Foster has said that he intends to reach out to the Premier League soon to discuss the rights issues surrounding his use of a GoPro on match days.

As part of his own personal YouTube channel the Cycling GK, Foster put his camera in the goal while he was playing last season, to show the game from his perspective.

A deal had to be struck with the EFL for him to use the videos on his channel, as they contained footage from matches.

As part of the agreement, Foster donated proceeds to the league’s official charity partners, Mind.

The same issue has now arisen with the Premier League, with rights to the league’s footage something that would ordinarily have to be paid for.

However, Foster hopes that an agreement can be reached with the English top flight and said that the videos were a “good news story”.

“We’re going to start reaching out to them soon to see what their thoughts are,” the goalkeeper told TalkSport.

“Everyone knows it’s a good news story and they are a good laugh.”

Regardless of whether or not he can use match footage in his videos, Foster said he still intends to create content from matches throughout the season.

“Whether we can or cannot put the GoPro in the back of the goal, I will still be able to do the same thing and come away to these amazing stadiums in the Premier League and do the Vlogs and show you behind the scenes,” he said before adding: “Anybody at the Premier League, please help me out.”
