Watford have announced the signing of former Bournemouth and Everton striker Joshua King as a free agent

After leaving the Cherries, the 29-year-old joined the Toffees on a short-term deal last winter but was released when that contract expired at the end of last month.

Sources confirmed earlier today that he was an option they were considering and his arrival was announced hours later.

The Norway international scored 53 times in a total of 184 appearances during his time with the Cherries, but was unable to find the net in his 11 appearances with Everton.

He has 17 goals from 54 international appearances and becomes the third signing of the day, with Peter Etebo and Dapo Mebude also arriving.
