Watford striker Adalberto Penaranda has joined Las Palmas on loan for the upcoming season.

The Venezuelan has only played four times for the Hornets since his arrival in 2016, scoring twice in EFL cup matches against Coventry and Newport County.

He spent last season on loan at CSKA Sofia where he made nine appearances altogether, but failed to score.

The move to Spain will be his sixth loan departure since joining Watford, having previously also been sent out to Granada, Udinese, Malaga and KAS Eupen.

Las Palmas finished ninth in the Segunda Division last season and are managed by former West Bromwich Albion boss Pepe Mel.
