Watford beat Millwall 3-2 in a behind-closed-doors pre-season friendly earlier this afternoon.

Domingos Quina opened the scoring for the Hornets in the game held at the club's London Colney training ground, before Matt Smith and Murray Wallace scored put the visitors ahead.

Adam Masina levelled before Ashley Fletcher turned the scoreline back in Watford's favour as they saw the game out.

The first goal of the match was scored by the returning Portuguese midfielder, Quina, who beat George Long with a free kick just outside the penalty area in the 36th minute.

Watford were behind just two minutes later however, as quick fire goals from the Lions duo turned the game on its head.

There was still time for another goal before half time, with Masina stooping to head home and restore parity.

Just as the game looked like it was destined for a draw, former Middlesbrough man Fletcher scored his first in a Watford shirt with four minutes of the match remaining to give the Hornets their first win of pre-season.

Watford are due to play another behind-closed-doors match against Colchester this weekend, again at the Hornets' training ground, before they face West Bromwich Albion in their first pre-season match with supporters at Vicarage Road next Saturday.
