A busy transfer window came to an end last night with Watford active from the first moment until the last.
On the final day, the Hornets focused their efforts on getting more people out of the club in a bid to trim the excess from their squad, with Andre Gray joining Queens Park Rangers, Marc Navarro having his contract terminated by mutual consent and both Domingos Quina and Nathaniel Chalobah both joining Fulham in a late swoop from the West London side.
Colombian midfielder Jaime Alvarado was also sent out on a fifth loan move since he joined Watford, this time joining Racing de Ferrol.
It marked the end of a push to get bodies out of the club and cut back the wage bill, with other high earners leaving during the window.
Undoubtedly the biggest of those departures was that of club captain Troy Deeney, who joined his boyhood club Birmingham City after 11 years at Vicarage Road.
The striker was not the only high profile person to leave the club, with Will Hughes joining Crystal Palace after rejecting the offer of a new contract.
Additionally, Isaac Success joined Udinese on a permanent deal, while Stipe Perica moved to Maccabi Tel Aviv.
