Troy Deeney is now a Birmingham City player but he has left behind a host of memories at Vicarage Road – and these are some of your favourites.

Following the end of the former captain’s 11 years at Vicarage Road, we asked you tell us about your favourite memory of Deeney’s time as a Hornet.

Unsurprisingly, 'that' play-off semi-final goal against Leicester City and the dramatic penalty in the FA Cup semi-final victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers feature prominently, but other fans have chosen to share more personal memories.

You can read the responses below and it is not too late to add yours via the link at the bottom of this page.

What is your favourite memory of Troy Deeney's time at Watford? His brace against Palace in our 2-1 victory away at Selhurst Park during our first season back in the Premier League (February 2016).

Why is this your favourite memory? It was a hugely disappointing day when we lost the Play Off final in 2013 against Crystal Palace - especially to a team that has become an increasingly bigger rival of Watford’s over the last decade. This was an incredible away day and thanks to two goals from Troy, we finally managed to get some revenge in one of our fixtures against Palace that season. A long awaited rematch, three years after that heart breaking day at Wembley. Almost felt like crying when he scored the winner!

What is your favourite memory of Troy Deeney's time at Watford?Easily the 2015 3-0 versus Liverpool. Troy and Ighalo had run Martin Skrtel ragged all first half and he clearly didn't fancy it at all. Finally, Troy gave him a little dig in the ribs, a glorious smile and 30 seconds later Skrtel was walking off clutching his hamstring. Bullied!

Why is this your favourite memory?Just sums up everything about Troy's attitude and how the smaller teams can beat the big boys! Marvellous.
