Over the last couple of decades, loyalty seemed to no longer to apply to our professional footballers anymore. However, Troy Deeney has restored my faith that loyalty still does exist in professional football.
Troy spent an eventful 11 years at The Vic and there is no doubt that he will always have a special place in the hearts of Watford FC supporters. He was a devoted and loyal Hornet.
Troy has now left his mark not just on the club but in the community as well, not just by what he achieved but how he achieved it. Troy’s story has made him a Watford FC legend and famous on the national stage. His name will remain forever on record with other cult heroes who have all donned the famous gold shirt.
