Ozan Tufan is hoping to start his Watford career on a high this evening, after missing out on the last two matches.

Speaking before Saturday's game against Norwich City, the midfielder said he was hoping to have made his debut in the previous home game against Wolverhampton Wanderers and also spoke of his dream of scoring at Vicarage Road.

Head coach Xisco Munoz has confirmed that the Turkish international will get his opportunity to do just that in tonight's Carabao Cup clash against Stoke and the boss knows all about Tufan's goalscoring ambitions.

“I was hoping and eager to play against Wolves but of course I respect the manager’s decision,” said Tufan in a club interview.

“To be honest I can’t wait to play in front of our home fans and it would be a dream to score for them as well. The first time I met Xisco when I arrived I had a clear set of goals and targets for this season, and yes, I will admit that one of them was to score in my first game, in front of our home fans.”

Tufan feels he has settled in well so far at the Hornets, despite leaving his family behind for the time being.

He hopes he can begin making contributions on the pitch very soon.

“Everything is going well. I’m very happy to be here,” he said.

“We have goals the club have set out and I’m ready to do everything I can on the pitch to help achieve them.

"I feel I’ve settled well and hope it continues.

“I’ve had to leave my family and my wife, but hopefully she will be with me in a few weeks. It was a decision we made collectively because they are always a big part of my life and my biggest supporters."
