Watford defender William Troost-Ekong was captain for Nigeria as they suffered a shock home defeat at the hands of Central African Republic.
The Hornets' defender attempted to clear a long ball forward in stoppage time, but his teammate Leon Balogun could only head into the feet of Karl Namnganda, who slotted past the Super Eagles' keeper.
The defeat was Nigeria's first of their World Cup qualification campaign, after winning their opening two matches.
They will get the opportunity to atone for their mistake this weekend when they face CAR again, this time away.

More Watford players are expected to be involved in international action today, with Juraj Kucka's Slovakia going up against Russia, While Ozan Tufan is in the Turkey squad set to face Norway this evening.
Joshua King was initially included in the Norway squad, but had to withdraw due to injury.
