Oxhey Jets bounced back from a bad defeat at Harpenden Town with a 2-1 victory at Hadley last night.
Manager Kevin Christou made seven changes from the side that were beaten 5-1 on Saturday to end Jets' four-game unbeaten run and his charges responded as they came from behind to claim the points and move up to 11th in the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division table.
A first half of few chances saw the visitors have a goal disallowed while Hadley hit the post.
However, the visitors made the breakthrough just two minutes after the restart when Jordan Edwards beat keeper Lewis Todd with a looping header.
Christou responded by making a change and it worked, albeit in somewhat unusual fashion as Sean Giordmaina equalised directly from a corner moments after coming on.
Hadley hit the bar before a sweeping move again instigated by Giordmaina played in Dean Florence who squared for Kyal Williams to score what proved to be the winner with five minutes remaining.
The home side threw everything at Jets and a superb save by Todd denied them, although Florence had another goal ruled out for offside.
