Chelsea could be given a boost for Wednesday's match against Watford at Vicarage Road, with Romelu Lukaku once again available.

The striker played eight minutes of the Blues' 1-1 draw with Manchester United on Sunday after missing the previous four league matches with an ankle injury.

Prior to the match against United, the league leaders' boss Thomas Tuchel said the striker was pushing for a place in the starting XI once again.

The German told the club website: "He is a top a professional and a top striker, he will be super important, he is actually in this moment very important, and I am absolutely happy that we can survive such a strong period without him.

"We miss all our players when they are injured, we missed Romelu a lot, but we are capable of finding solutions.

"Rom is pushing and he is here, he is part of the team. The competition is strong which is a good thing."

Watford meanwhile are sweating on potential injuries to Emmanuel Dennis and Adam Masina picked up in the 4-2 defeat to Leicester City yesterday.

Head coach Claudio Ranieri said both would be assessed this morning in order to get a better understanding of their problems, alongside Ismaila Sarr, Nicolas Nkoulou, Ben Foster and Francisco Sierralta, all of whom were sidelined for the game at the King Power Stadium.
