Watford's Moroccan players Imran Louza and Adam Masina kicked off their involvement in the African Cup of Nations with a 1-0 win over Ghana.
Both were part of the starting XI, although Louza was substituted five minutes before Sofiane Boufal scored a late winner.
Masina was booked after 22 minutes, but played the whole match.
The win puts them joint top of Group C alongside Gabon, who beat Comoros 1-0 in the other Group C fixture.
Two other Watford players are set to feature today with defender William Troost-Ekong set to lead out Nigeria in their game against Egypt at 4pm UK time.
Goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, who is also officially a Hornets' player but is out on loan at Sparta Rotterdam, is looking forward to making his AFCON debut in the match.
"Personally I really cannot wait, it is the only thing I am thinking about," Okoye said to NFF TV.
"The mindset is great, it is a very good spirit in the camp and everybody feels good and fit."
The match will be shown live on both Sky Sports and online on BBC Iplayer.
