Stoke City striker Benik Afobe seems set to move to Belgian side Club Brugges, and while head coach Rob Edwards said he was a player he liked, he is not worried that the transfer window has been open for a while and the club have only made one signing.

“I worked with him at Wolves and he’s the type of player who fits into the style and structure of team that I want to play,” said the head coach.

“But there are many other strikers who also fit into that way of playing, and we have a number of options that we are looking at.

“I don’t panic about how many players we have brought in over a certain time frame. I would rather ensure I get the right players for the team and the club. We already have a lot of good players but there are areas where we need to strengthen and that is being worked on.”
