Watford Ladies FC had a strong showing in the Junior Premier League with a convincing 6-0 win for the Under-16 Warriors away to QPR.

The Watford team, confident in possession, created plenty of chances in last weekend’s fixture. Chloe Timms was on fire, scoring four of the goals, with Tiana McKenzie-David and Mia Gregory also netting.

The team were steadfast in defence, with fine performances from player of the match Emie Martin and keeper Abby Syphas, not allowing QPR to get a foothold in the game.

The Under-12 Warriors travelled to Surrey to take on Woking FC Girls, running out 7-3 winners.

The Watford team were deserving of their victory, dominating possession with a strong pressing game.

There were two goals each for Isla O’Sullivan and Ameilia Mariappa, while Shira Oren, Zoe Wright and Betty Bellis also found the back of the net.

It was a good day for the Under-16s in the Hertfordshire Girls Football Partnership League with the Hornets putting in a solid performance against Goffs Oak Girls FC to win 4-0.

A first-half hat-trick by Aimee O’Malley and a second goal of the season from Jess Wright saw the Hornets to victory.

The Under-16 Harts won by the same score away to Hillingdon Abbots with Alicia Jackson netting all four goals.

The Under-13 Harts built on their previous week’s success with a 5-1 home defeat of Ickenham Youth FC.
