Watford Ladies Under-15 Warriors produced a powerful performance in the Junior Premier League as they beat Tottenham Hotspur Academy 3-0 in front of a home crowd of more than 100 excitable fans at Parmiter’s School.

After creating a number of early chances and having a goal disallowed, Watford took the lead when captain Amy Moynihan scored superbly direct from a corner.

They doubled their lead following a great team move which ended with Moynihan collecting a pass from Leyla Priest on the edge of the box and firing a great shot into the top right hand corner.

Chloe Bright made it 3-0 in the second half following a surging run down the right by Ella Weaver.

Watford were resolute at the back and fully deserved the clean sheet as they sealed a memorable win to the joy of the home supporters.

On the adjacent pitch meanwhile, the Under-18 Warriors marched on in the County Cup with a 4-0 victory over Sarratt Rebels.

The visitors held firm in the face of constant Watford pressure but the deadlock was broken with two quick goals from Mia Gregory and captain Jessie Poulter.

Gregory scored twice more in the second half to complete her third hat-trick in as many games and send the Warriors through to the semi-finals, where they will meet Garston Ladies Lions in February.
