Gavin Ward is set to referee a Watford fixture for the first time this season when the Hornets return to Championship action against Blackpool at Vicarage Road on Saturday.
The Surrey official has been one of the busier referees this season, taking charge of 22 games to date and has shown a total of 78 yellow cards and two reds.
The last time Ward officiated a Watford game will not hold fond memories for Hornets fans as he was in the middle for the 1-0 derby defeat at Luton Town in April 2021 when Kiko Femenia was sent off shortly before full-time.
Ward is due to be assisted by Adrian Waters and Robert Hyde for the game against the Seasiders, who are currently in the relegation zone, with Darren Drysdale on fourth official duties.
