Ismaila Sarr’s stunning strike from inside his own half against West Bromwich Albion has won the EFL Goal of the Season award.
The forward put the Hornets in front inside 15 minutes of their opening away game of the campaign at The Hawthorns when he took aim from just inside his own half after spotting goalkeeper David Button out of his goal.
The superb strike took the award ahead of goals from Brad Potts, Barry Bannan, Harrison Biggins and Marcelino Nunez at last night’s EFL Awards ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel in Park Lane.
