A Watford fan has been handed a football banning order after storming the pitch during an away fixture.

Stuart Pizans admitted illegally going onto the playing area of the match between Watford and QPR at Loftus Road Stadium on March 11.

Westminster Magistrates’ Court ordered the 37-year-old to pay £551 as he was given the three-year football banning order, during an appearance on April 24.

A football banning order prohibits a person from entering any premises for the purpose of attending matches. It may also include additional requirements.

The Watford Observer live blog from the “dreadful” loss on Chris Wilder’s first match in charge mentions a Watford fan invading the pitch at around the 85th minute.

The incident was described as the closest the Hornets got to the back of the Rangers net all game.

Pizans, of Roberts Road, Watford, represented himself in court.
