Liam Bridcutt may take part in his last game for Watford as they travel to Wolves after the Hornets opted not to renew his loan agreement.

Chelsea's Reserve-team captain has been at Vicarage Road since November but has started just once in the last nine games.

But Brendan Rodgers paid tribute to the 19-year-old and did not rule out bringing him back to the club in the summer.

The Watford boss said: "Liam has been fantastic for us and it is a great tribute to him as a 19-year-old boy to come in and gain the respect of the players at the club.

"He has got Championship experience, helped Watford out and played in a Carling Cup quarter-final. He had a terrific opening game against Doncaster and played well away at QPR. He can go back knowing he has made a good contribution.

"He is one that when we are looking in the summer, he is a boy who will be an interest for not just us but other clubs."

The Golden Boys head to Molineux tomorrow with a fully fit squad, except for long-term absentees Gareth Williams and Mart Poom, and Rodgers may have some selection dilemmas on his hands.

Tuesday night's bench was one of the strongest for some time and substitute Tamas Priskin scored two, while Jon Harley came off the bench to create one of the striker's goals.

And Rodgers is confident his side can go to the Championship leaders and get a result after two wins in a week.

The manager said: "I feel that if we can get a tight group together in this league and defend properly then with the players we have got here, we can go to any ground and win. I think we have shown that in the last couple of games."

Turning to tomorrow's opponents, Rodgers said: "I know they have an outstanding manager [Mick McCarthy], someone who has managed at the highest level, both at club and international level, and he is doing a great job at Wolves, a club who expect to be in the Premier League and they are mounting a serious challenge.

"They are a team I admire as they like to play football the right way. They are a very good side and they are not at the top for no reason."
