Watford have secured the services of experienced Estonia international Andrei Stepanov until the end of this season.

The 30-year-old started training with the Hornets at their London Colney base on Tuesday.

And Brendan Rodgers moved to land the former FC Khimki and Torpedo Moscow defender just before this evening’s 5pm transfer deadline.

The Watford boss said: “Andrei is an experienced centre back with over 70 caps for Estonia and although my defenders have been doing really well, I needed to make sure we have adequate cover until the end of the season.”
