Grzegorz Rasiak’s stunning shot on the turn at Charlton Athletic is Watford’s Goal of the Season.
The on-loan Southampton striker, who Brendan Rodgers hopes to bring to Vicarage Road on a permanent basis this summer, was the overwhelming choice of his team-mates, the fans and the Hornets’ away supporters for his unstoppable left-footed effort from the edge of the penalty area at The Valley in the 3-2 win.
The Polish international, who also picked up third place for his curling goal at home to Crystal Palace in the FA Cup, picked up his award at Watford’s end-of-season dinner at Shendish Manor tonight.
Sandwiched in between Rasiak’s two goals was Tamas Priskin’s effort at home to Chelsea in the FA Cup.
The two forwards dominated the voting in the category, with the Hungarian also taking fourth and fifth spots.
