Noah Cato says he will use the disappointment of losing his spot in the England Saxons squad as motivation to win back his place.

The talented Saracens wing played for the Saxons in Denver this summer in the Churchill Cup but was left out of the latest squad this week.

Cato said: "I was very disappointed and upset about it. But if you look at the squad so many of the players have full international caps.

"I know what I have got to do to get my place back and that will be my motivation. I need to take the next step and I need to progress. It has put the pressure on and I have to take that in my stride."

The Saxons suffered a thumping defeat to Ireland A in the final but Cato still enjoyed the experience of being away with his country.

He said: "I was pretty pleased with the impact I made in the US game. Against Ireland it was frustrating because we were continually on the back foot and it was hard to have any impact on the game.

But the trip was really good playing with a great group, even though it was disappointing with how we did in the final."

Cato is looking forward to the new season especially after the Men in Black announced their match against Northampton Saints will be played at Wembley on Saturday, September 12.

The 21-year-old said: "It is an amazing venue and it's going to be a massive game. It's going to be a big event in itself and coming straight after Twickenham [London double header] it will be a great start for us.

"Our main concern is getting as many fans as possible into Wembley. If we could achieve the biggest crowd then that would be amazing."
