A DONATION from recently-appointed directors, brothers Jimmy and Vince Russo, funded the signing of left-back Paul Mayo from Lincoln City, who agreed a three-year deal with the club this afternoon (Friday, March 5).
The Russo brothers have funded the £65,000 transfer fee, with another £40,000 to be paid to the Imps depending on the number of appearances Mayo makes for the club. The Russo brothers will also pay Mayo's wages in his first full season at the club.
Mayo, who has scored six goals in 31 league appearances for Third Division City this term, starts training with his new club on Monday, but is unlikely to feature in Tuesday's trip to Bradford City.
