Watford’s Henri Lansbury has been called up by the England Under-21 manager Stuart Pearce for the first time for the Three Lions double header against Portugal and Lithuania.
On loan Arsenal midfielder Lansbury and Everton’s Dan Gosling have been added to a 22-man squad which also includes Watford duo Scott Loach and Tom Cleverley, who is on loan from Manchester United.
On Saturday, England face Portugal in a Euro 2011 qualifier at Wembley and then travel to Vilnius to play Lithuania on the Tuesday.
Pearce's side are currently second in their qualifying group, six points behind Greece but with two games in hand.
Lansbury has been in excellent form in recent weeks, setting up Cleverley’s goal against Preston on Saturday and scoring two against Sheffield Wednesday in front of the TV cameras.
