Watford will launch their new kit on June 1 after Swiss sportswear company BURRDA became the Hornets’ new official club sponsor and kit supplier.

BURRDA, who are also now supplying Wolves’ kit, have signed a two-year deal with Watford and will take over from Evolution HDTV.

The new home and away strips will be launched on the club’s website on June 1 and fans will be able to pre-order immediately, with delivery expected in early July.

BURRDA is hoping to branch out into the United Kingdom, most of their business so far has been with Middle East clubs such as the Qatar and Kuwait national sides.

Watford chairman Graham Taylor said: "Today's announcement marks the start of a partnership which we’re sure will add genuine value to the club and for our fans far beyond just its monetary worth.

“We’ve built a very strong relationship with BURRDA over the last few months and are genuinely excited by their plans to quickly become a major global kit supplier.

“They have a very clear vision and by investing in Watford as official club sponsor, on top of the kit supply agreement, we are not only pleased to be working with them at the start of their journey, but will be doing all we can to help develop their brand for the duration of our relationship which we hope will be a long and prosperous one.”

BURRDA's General Manager, Charles Diab, added: "Next season is our first in the UK football market and it was vital for us to launch with the right kind of partner and Watford FC is just that.

“It genuinely is a club at the heart of its community and the outstanding work it does with young talent at the Harefield Academy really caught our eye. This makes it stand out as a progressive club ready to challenge in its field, which is exactly how we see ourselves too.

“There’s exciting times ahead for Watford and we can’t wait to be involved. The opportunity to become the main club sponsor and kit manufacturer enables us to help them move forward with their plans to be a top thirty club aspiring for a return to the Premier League.”

Watford’s deal with their previous club sponsor Evolution HDTV turned sour after a dispute over payments, but both parties are refusing to comment on the matter.
