The second edition of Watford FC podcast 'From the Rookery End' is now available to fans ahead of the start of the new season.

The latest 'From the Rookery End' podcast includes an exclusive interview with long-serving Hornets defender Lloyd Doyley and a chat with author and Watford fan Matt Rowson.

The podcast was created and is presented by season ticket holders Jon Moonie, Jason Bailey and Mike Parkin.

Parkin said: "Jon, Jason and myself are similar sorts of fans. We're emotionally invested in Watford but considered and reasoned about the club.

"Although the Watford Observer does a great job, the club itself does a good job and so do Three Counties Radio, we thought that there wasn't much directly from the fans. Together we realised that there was a gap in the market.

"I've always been jealous of fans who have extra content, teams like Arsenal and Spurs who produce regular podcasts.

"The feedback we got from fans after the first podcast was all very positive. People liked the Lloyd Doyley song and the fact that it wasn't too serious.

"We recorded the second episode in the pub and want the podcast to cover the little things that fans talk about before a game. When we do it, we think 'what do fans want to hear."

The podcast also takes a look at Watford's pre-season performances as well as looking ahead to the forthcoming campaign.

A new edition will be produced monthly throughout the season with a mixture of players interviews and fans opinions.

"We went to the training ground and had a chat with a couple of players so we have interviews in the can. But what we would really like is to keep in touch with the fans and listen to what they have to say. We're on Twitter and Facebook and always ask if fans want to be involved, then get in touch with us."

The podcast can be downloaded for free from iTunes or listened to online at www.fromtherookeryend.com.
