Watford owner Laurence Bassini is not expected to be part of the executive committee aimed at filling the "hole" in the club's leadership.

Watford director Stuart Timperley explained last week how there was a "vacuum" at the club following the departures of chief executive Julian Winter and his deputy Michael Jones.

Club officials met yesterday to discuss the plans and it was today decided that there will be a six-man committee - consisting of Timperley, who will head the group, head of operations Glyn Evans, head of corporate Raj Athwal, community director Rob Smith, head of football business Ross Wilson and head of academy Nick Cox.

The club have also invited a Watford Supporters Trust member to attend some meetings, an invitation which came from Bassini. The Trust member will be Chesham-based businessman Peter Brown.

Employees from finance, communications and human resources will also support the committee.
