Watford youngster Gavin Massey will return to the Hornets after his loan at Yeovil Town comes to an end on January 14.

The striker joined the Glovers in September and last week the Somerset side were believed to be interested in securing his services for a further month.

However, Gary Johnson returned to manage the club on Monday, with former boss Terry Skiverton becoming his assistant.

It meant the loan was not extended and the 19-year-old’s stay at Huish Park will come to an end this weekend as expected.

Massey scored three goals in 17 games during his time with the Glovers, including a brace in a 2-2 draw against Colchester.
